Olympics

Been watching way more olympics than I expected... which was none. It's just on all the time, so easy to turn on the tv and see some. Snowboard cross was entertaining, because so many people were falling down and crashing! Yeah, I'm one of those spectators. It's not about wanting to see people in pain. It's simply more entertaining. Compare someone in a tight controlled crouch cruising along, versus someone flying through the air with arms flailing. Arms flailing wins the entertainment factor every time!

Missed my chance

Wanted to get to know someone from bollywood hip hop dance class outside of class. Didn't want to move too fast, that makes me creepy. But, I went too slow, she wasn't there last class and someone said she will be gone for all the remaining classes. Very disappointing. Quite frustrating that everything has to be some kind of game, planning different stragegy, etc. Making friends should not be like that.

At least I get to chat a bit with another group of people there, since they stay a while after class so I just stay too. But still, it's their own big group anyways, harder to penetrate. We'll see, 2 classes left.

Leaves

Somehow I find new leaves on my Peace Lily so cool, that nature has this design... At first, it looks just like a stalk, a thin linear upwards growth. But actually it's not a stalk, it's a new leaf, just very tightly rolled. When it reaches the right point, it'll unfurl to become a big wide leaf. Would never have expected it to grow something pre-rolled like that.

But no, I won't go as far as to say the shape of a banana proves the existence of god.
