Coconut Rice

Is it a Canadian thing?

Here, it's like a fundamental of Thai restaurants, I don't think I've been to a Thai restaurant here that doesn't serve coconut rice.

In the US, I went to a few Thai restaurants, none had coconut rice.

Maybe it's a local invention... like ginger beef...
